y father felt appreciative of all he had; some of his favorite blessings were his grandchildren.


My sister, Linda, gave birth to her first child, Lisa, in 1966. Lori followed in 1968, and finally, Leon in 1971.

They brought great joy and comfort to my father, seeing another generation of his and Minnie's descendants in the world.

They enlivened many a Christmas and Milford summer for him during the last years of his life.









The girls danced with him, giggling and laughing, when he dropped down and tapped each knee on the floor before popping back up to continue dancing.

Leon was full of energy, discovering the world around him with a freshness and wonder that inspired my father's imagination and warmed his heart.
