he fellowship of this group extended beyond basketball. All of the players on the first row became medical doctors.

My father was classmates with his best friend, Raymond (Bozo) Anderson in both college and medical school. William (Monk) Howard was a year ahead of my father as a student at Howard Medical School and as an intern at Harlem Hospital. George Cannon, son of the church founder, was my father's life-long friend.
